Back to the Motherland and then back to America!!!

August 16, 2015.

Our last full day in Europe- it is bitter sweet. We slept in a bit and then went out exploring Dublin a bit more. Stopped at a few pubs and went to an area of the city we had not seen yet.

Our hostel looked like a barracks.....

.... so for privacy we hung our towels up.. no one likes waking up to someone staring at you.

All of the pubs have outside seating, its entertaining to people watch.

I think the second time around we loved Dublin a lot more. When we first arrived we were very jet-lagged and I was not feeling so well. This time we enjoyed the atmosphere and everything the city has to offer much more!
Very talented musicians. And this song especially is very important to us <3

We had an amazing time in every city we went. THANK YOU EUROPE! <3

Scooters, Scooters EVERYWHERE!!

We arrived in Ho Chi Minh and what a drastic change it was from Siem Reap. There were so many people, cars and motorbikes. I really enjoyed and laid back feel of Siem Reap; now time for a busy city. We grabbed a taxi and headed to District 1. Our hostel was located right in the middle of the restaurant and bar district. Once we dropped our bags off at the hostel we walked down the main street and grabbed a coffee at a local egg coffe shop. After the Vietnam War there was a shortage of milk, so the Vietnamese started using egg in their coffee. It was delicious! It was a creamy, frothy texture and did not taste like egg. It came to be a favorite coffee place; even for Amber who is a tea-aholic! For dinner we went to a Pho soup place- it was savory and very filling. I am still going strong on my soup kick. When continued to explore District 1 and grabbed a few drinks before calling it a night. The next day we wandered around the local market; you could literally buy anything y...

First Stop of the Southeast Asia Tour- Singapore

I have always been interested in Southeast Asia, but never thought I would have the chance to go. I went to Europe on my own, but I felt this trip I needed some travel buddies. When I first met Gina in Hawaii she mentioned going to Thailand after the assignment. Well, that interest is becoming a reality. Gina, Amber and myself are doing a trip through Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. Amber is a fellow travel nurse that also has a passion, for well, travel. Getting to Singapore was a daunting thought- 24 hours on a plane. But it actually was not that bad, All Nippon Airways was great! They had comfy seating, excellent entertainment, surprisely good food and very nice flight attendants. Burger patty, rice, carrots; salad; noodle soup; antipasto; spinach and chicken salad; vanilla ice cream I landed in Singapore around 11:30pm, so I decided to just grab a hotel and shower and get some rest. It was a very charming hotel, that was previously an Opera H...

Ciao from the city of canals and hidden streets!

August 7, 2015 Venice- It was an obstacle to get to you! From Paris we walked to the metro, took the metro to the bus, took the bus to the airport, took a plane to Venice airport, took a bus to the city centre and then walked to our accommodation.   When we arrived it was very very warm, 95 degrees! Such a change from chilly, damp Dublin. We had a bit of a journey finding our next AirBnB place; something I didn't know was the streets on Googlemaps don't really match what is truly here. So we wondered around for a while until we had to ask for help. We stopped at this very nice hotel and the staff there were amazing. They helped us call the owner of the apartment we were staying at and walked with us to ensure we got there safely. This local man working at the hotel did not have an idea where the apartment was, so it took awhile, but we found it! We probably would not have found it without his help. When we arrived at the apartment, it wasn't exactly what w...
